What is an FSM
What it means to be a Field Service Manager
Each HUD-owned property is managed by two separate entities: a Field Service Manager (FSM) and an Asset Manager (AM). The FSM provides property maintenance, and the AM makes sure the property is sold in a timely fashion. Tasks that fall under the FSM scope of duties include following items:
• Conducting Bi-weekly Inspections
• Performing Grass Cuts
• Conducting Termite/Rodent/Lead Based Paint Inspections
• Securing the Property
• Submitting Payments for HOA/COA/Utilities/Code Enforcement/Liens
All HUD contract areas utilize multiple FSMs, and all properties are assigned at random. Please make use of the HUD Homestore (http://www.HUDHomestore.com) if you would like to determine who is the FSM or AM for a given property.
